Re: Preseason crew member expectations

At 10 bucks an hr for 14 8 hr days would be $1120.00 free labor. But I doubt there are any 8 hr days getting your boat ready. But that would be like 4 or 5 good days of coho fishing for his share. Craig lodging

Headed up to Craig, Ak in a couple weeks to start working on my boat. Looking for a room for a week or so wondered if anyone had any numbers or leads to reasonable lodging? Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe

Mitigation

Probably a dumb question but will there be any king salmon mitigation checks this year? Tried researching online but not much luck.

Very well said LuLu. In any new adventure there are trials and rewards. Sometimes I dwell on the negative to often.

Re: advice

You have to love doing this. Think about getting up at 2-3 am so your lines are in the water by day break, fish till dark, shut it down and drift, or run to an anchorage (if available) and then do it again for 4-5 days in a row. Re: First Year Photos from the F/V Myrth " The Good The Bad

The Biggest Challenge was trying to keep in contact with my business back in Kansas. I should have probably waited one more year to make this step. I talked to Richard 3 weeks ago and said he is working on it now and I going to wait till I get there to put it in. Probably gonna need some help putting it back in if you know anyone that has experience. I would pay them for helping.
