Autopilots

Post by F/V Hollis C »

I'm looking in to purchasing a new one for this summer salmon season, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

Thanks!

ComNav has great pilots. I have been using my original brain box since 1988.

I mounted an Autohelm 4000 behind the wheel in the house. Didn't have to plumb anything into the hydraulic steering, and it was about half the price of the commercial units. It interfaces with GPS and has a remote back in the pit. Has worked well for 20 years with a few replacement parts.
