Gray Cod jigging

Is there anybody in SE using mechanical jigging machines for Gray Cod? Profitable?

Not that I know of. Some guys are longlining them.

You can use your power gurdies as dinglebar troll gear, although a jigging machine might be more effective. You can also dinglebar for lingcod and every kind of rockfish.

There have many in S.E. that have mech. jigged in the area. In Craig Patty Lynn and Nickelodeon did for many years. In Sitka, Libby 12 B. Hall (not sure what his last vessel's name was/is) As to dingle bar trolling.. in Craig I'd talk the Revelations or View Point

Thanks for the info. If I was going to dinglebar, I would probably talk to my Dad on the Colette, who did for some time. By the way, the Veiwpoint sank this summer in an accident. Bill runs the Frisco now.

Don't know about S.E., but thanks to the guys and gals on this forum, I've tricked my seiner out to be a totally efficient cod jigging machine. I'm probably not going fishing until March due to the price and other obligations, but I'll post a before/after video of the operation as a way of saying thanks to you guys/gals!
