New To The Industry

Post by dodgecitybilly »

Hey. I don't want to be the guy posting all over your board about looking for a job, but here I am to do that. I'm 26 years old and have been working on oil tankers for the last year in the Gulf and the Pacific. I wanna get up north and break into fishing. I've been looking around online at different seasons/types of fisheries and am interested in how I can get a start. I live in Seattle and have found some boats that are hiring on processors. Is that a good place to start? I wanna be involved in something smaller, can pay my way up to Alaska, can bring my own raingear/clothing. Any help is appreciated. Like I said, I'm new to all this so no piece of info is too small. Thanks guys.
