Buying fish from commercial fisherman

Hi everyone!
I am new to fishing industry and trying to find some information about buying fish directly from commercial fisherman in Alaska. I am not fish processor.Is it possible to buy fish directly from fisherman and then get it processed by custom processor and store in the freezer?

I believe anyone can buy a fish from a commercial fishermen. I don't know how many you are talking about, but the custom processor that fits your needs is going to be the hard thing to find.

In Alaska a fisherman must sell to a licensed processor unless he has a catcher/seller permit. The catcher/seller permit allows sale to anyone he wants, dock sales for example.

There are lots of custom processors who will fillet fish, vac seal it, smoke it, whatever you want....
