I talked to Richard 3 weeks ago and said he is working on it now and I going to wait till I get there to put it in. Probably gonna need some help putting it back in if you know anyone that has experience. I would pay them for helping.

Cool picture of the Lingcod.
So I have to ask what was your 5 biggest challenges outside of trying to keep the boat running for your first year?
Any data points you would like to pass on?

The Biggest Challenge was trying to keep in contact with my business back in Kansas. I should have probably waited one more year to make this step. Second was probably trying to navigate in the fog and having way to little experience running the Radar. Had a pretty close call, that's when I quit fishing in the Fog. Third was probably trying to figure out spreads, leader lengths, flasher colors etc. Fished with 2 other boats that had exact opposite opinions most times and they both caught way more fish than I did. Fourth trying to dock the boat and tie up to others and at Phillips in Craig. Trying to judge wind and tide and speed. The guys at the Plant in Craig were very patient and helpful and by mid July I was doing way better. And Fifth is Being away from My family and Grandsons for 4 months. That was tough.
Now after I left Craig with My boat in the Harbor with no engine, That is a whole other story!!! Finding some one responsible to watch it has been a true pain in the Ass!! I have received MANY calls from Michelle at Craig Harbor. Loose Tie up Lines, Tarps flapping in the wind. Stern Looks a little settled and on and on. Hired 1 guy paid him for several months in advance, after a month he is gone shrimpin and crabbin. Hire another guy pay him for 2 months week later his phone is shut off and does nothing. Finally get a Kid that wants to deckhand and has I THINK done a good job.
I know this if I cant find a slip in Wrangell or Ketchikan next fall the boat will be for sale!! And I will search for a small glass Boat I can take out of the water. I don't need anymore stress in my life.
