Christmas Eve Hunt

Post by Salty »

Merry Christmas to all of you on this forum. Here are a couple of pictures I took today that you might enjoy.
This is the surf looking out from the spot I let my son off to shoot a deer today.

Nice Deer
That is the exact reason I use a drybag for both my gun and my pack. It makes them a lot easier to run down when the skiff swamps in the surf.

We have dry bags for both our clothes and rifles and keep them in our skiff. But, Karl had removed his rifle from the dry bag to jump onto the beach. In retrospect it would have been a good idea to take the dry bag ashore with him and then removed the rifle. He did have his survival and fire starting kit in a pouch around his neck.
