Free Cold Water Survival Pool Session for Commercial Fishermen

The Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA) will offer Sitka commercial fishermen a free ninety-minute, cold-water survival skills pool session on January 26, 2014 from
1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Blatchley Middle School, 601 Halibut Point Rd.

Fishermen will have the opportunity to practice with new, wearable PFDs, immersion suits, and an inflatable life raft.

Participants are also encouraged to bring their personal immersion suits for practice.

The pool practice session is free to commercial fishermen and their families. Registration is required and an adult must accompany children. Those interested in registering or wanting additional information should call AMSEA at (907) 747-3287.
