Alaska Fishing Gold Rush of the 1980s

Just got a copy of Jana M Suchy newest book and I really enjoyed reading and viewing great B&W pictures. Pretty impressive and I loved writing also.
Just wondered if anyone else enjoyed as much as myself.

I bought her book from Craig at SPC just before Jana was going to be in Sitka for book signings. We went back out fishing and i got to read a bit of it before my 30-something crew buried himself it it and i couldn't pry him away from it. After we quit for the season I got a chance to read more and liked it so much we packed it down to Expo so i could get Jana to sign it! I gotta get Craig to sign it too now! Jana was very interested that my crew liked it that well, but heck, a lot of the boats she wrote about and pictured, we're still crossing tacks with, so he knows the names. I thought Jana was particularly gutsy the way she wrote about the poor management that produced the derbys and then the quota-system.
