Cheaper gurdy parts?

Post by Drew »

I need to replace some parts and do a minor rebuild on my Kolstrand gurdies this year. Anyone have a source for parts cheaper than the factory? $16 for a screw is a bit pricey when you need 12 of them.

Drew,

Tacoma Screw is a top source for fasteners near Seattle. If they don't have them, they may point you in the right direction.

Best wishes on the search,

If this is the one you're looking for, you're going to need to pony up and pay what they're asking... not going to find these at Tacoma Screw or any other fastener house.

As an aside, these are made with major amounts of adjustment in them and you should not need to replace all 12... if the ball end on the ones you have are grooved, maybe chuck them up in a lathe and reshape the end.
