Deck paint

Post by Jamill45 »

I have a fiberglass troller that I'm looking to re-paint the interior sides of the deck/ hull, cap rails, and bow area. What types of paints do other trollers use? Pro vs cons?

Thanks in advance.

I used a product called Tuflex on my wood boat deck 2 years ago. It works well. and has a rubber type texture. You can add rubber granules to it to add traction. Not sure if this is the type of finish you are looking for, but if so I would say it is good. I got mine through a company called Coatings Plus in Renton, Washington.

You might find it worthwhile to talk to Dan at Pacific Pride (formerly Murray Pacific) in Ketchikan. You can reach him at 907-225-3135. I've been looking into the same subject and he seems pretty knowledgeable.
