Hello all, I am the youngest son of John Benidict Compagno from Monterey.
I an looking for the whereabouts of the famous "JB Compagno" it was a very important part of my familys history. Any ideas as to where the boat might be. Pictutes would be great. How can one find this boat. Thx you for your time it would mean allot tome and my family to locate and maybe visit the old JB! : ) 702-726-0098.

try searching these web pages; http://www.nero.noaa.gov/nero/neropermits/ or http://www.boatinfoworld.com/searchindex.asp I knew of a boat in '77 that long lined and trolled in SE AK out of WA. called the JB but wasn't named JB Compagno. I did a search for the name at; http://historicfishing.smugmug.com/ looking for a pic w/ no luck. but you might try a search for Monterey and see what pops up

If the boat you are asking about was a double ender of about 38 ft. I owned the boat for about 30 yrs. I am pretty sure it's the same boat. I have pictures of the boat, but not on my computer. I also grew up on the penensula, on the other side of the hill.
