5th ALASKA YOUNG FISHERMEN'S SUMMIT

Post by ata »

Hi All:

The Young Fishermen's Summit is coming up and I hope a lot of our new fleet members will try to attend. It's a great opportunity to talk to seasoned fishermen and industry reps and to get up to speed on regulations and issues affecting your business. http://seagrant.uaf.edu/map/workshops/2 ... index.html

As usual, the Sea Grant folks are pulling together a worthwhile agenda for the summit. This year's topics include:
Business management, financing, insurance, marketing, fishery management, regulatory arenas and public participation. http://seagrant.uaf.edu/map/workshops/2 ... agenda.php

Don't think you can afford to go? Many organizations and businesses - including ATA - donate to the summit and there are some travel scholarships available. Deadline to apply is November 24th - so check it out today!
