California trollers can get their USCG accepted drill conductor card in October. AMSEA instructor, Beverly Noll, will conduct 18-hour Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor workshops in a number of Northern California ports.

Crescent City - Oct. 2 & 3
Eureka - Oct. 6 & 7
Fort Bragg - Oct. 9 & 10
Bodega Bay - Oct. 13 & 14
Half Moon Bay - Oct. 17 & 18
Moss Landing - Oct. 20 - 21

Bev will cover these topics:

• Cold water survival skills
• EPIRBs, flares, and maydays
• Man overboard recovery
• Firefighting
• Immersion suits and PFDs
• Emergency drills
• Helicopter rescue
• Life rafts
• Abandon ship procedures
• In-the-water practice session
